Marika SimonMarika Simon is a Lecturer in the School of Information and Communication Studies. She is part of the Teacher Librarianship team and received her MEd in Teacher Librarianship from Charles Sturt University.
In addition to her MEd in Elementary Education from Boston University, Marika brings over 20 years of experience in primary education and teacher librarianship to her role. Her passion for supporting other teacher librarians is evidenced by her various informal and formal mentoring roles and her 2021 Synergy article “A season of starting out: thoughts for new teacher librarians”. Bring a sense of experimentation and, if you want a chance to play along, a device with the ability to access Google Classroom, Quillbot, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot (or ChatGPT).
