For the love of wellbeing… is the duo behind the Lessons of a LAC (Little Anxious Creature) series. Lynn Jenkins and Kirrili Lonergan, have a major passion for early intervention in kids’ mental health. The amazing evolution of their book series is soley because of this passion. Both therapists themselves, they have first-hand knowledge of the common concerns with which little ones’ struggle. Anxiety continues to be a major issue for kids and families. The Lessons of a LAC series of picture books and products have become known as the Loppy and Curly approach to anxiety management. Kirrili and Lynn travel to schools to educate kids, their parents and teachers in the clinically proven strategies on which the Loppy and Curly approach to anxiety management is based. Lynn, author/clinical psychologist and Kirrili, illustrator/art therapist know their stuff, and they know kids.

Workshop:
Lessons of a LAC
In this workshop Kirrili and Lyn will cover how to use Lessons of a Lac to enhance the wellbeing of children as young as 4 years of age. It will include:
- how they use the Loppy and Curly approach to the different age groups
- what anxiety is
- their simple ABC’s
- using body sensations as clues to ‘whom’ they are listening: Loppy OR Curly
- the important role of ‘choice’ and why
- strategies kids as young as four can use to bring themselves to calm and happy as opposed to anxious and struggling.
